I had a lovely stay in Girona, its a wonderful city. We travelled to the coast one day and also to Figures for the Dali museum which was wonderful. I have been to Barcelona but I do prefer the relaxed atmosphere in Girona. It has lovely shops, lots of culture and very friendly people. The old part of the city is spectacular with its lovely streets and ancient architecture.
As for your apartment, what can I say other than it was the most fantastic apartment in a superb location. I am very much into design and I must say Anna has designed a beautiful home and I am very jealous not to have such a wonderful home in Ireland!
It was a pleasure to stay in and it had everything I could ask for, a well stocked kitchen, ipod dock, TV & DVD, wifi, great mood lighting, very comfortable bed and a lift for shopping!
I want to thank you for letting me stay in your property and enjoy Girona. Myself and my girlfriend wish to return again (possibly for a weekend break at the start of next year as she wants to go shopping) so I will be in touch as I feel that your apartment has much more to offer than a hotel.
I am more than delighted to recommend your apartment to anyone wishing to visit Girona and surrounding area. You were excellent with communication before and after so once again thank you for all your help.
The owner has no expense spared in the renovation and furnishing of the apartment. It is truly a city palace with all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, a music system, a service elevator and a garage. The floor with the bedrooms is very pleasant because of the large rooms with comfortable beds, ingenious wardrobes and well-equipped bathrooms. The top floor makes the biggest impression. The well equipped kitchen and large sliding doors onto the spacious covered terrace make cooking and dining a real pleasure to take place inside and outside. In bad weather, the large living room offers all conveniences.
Girona is a charming town with many monuments, good shops and some wonderful restaurants. But even without all that, it's worth a while to stay in this amazing apartment.
We can recommend this apartment to anyone who loves to be surrounded by beautiful things and is willing to pay a fair price for it.
For our family there is only one problem with this apartment: it is now the yardstick against which all future rentals will be measured. We all loved the experience of living in this beautifully designed apartment, in the heart of historic Girona (including two teenagers who are difficult to impress!) Customer service was excellent from initial enquiry to the moment we left. Montse, the housekeeper, made us feel welcome immediately and even though it was late at night, she took time to show us everything. If the photos look too good to be true, well that's how it feels when you get there! Nothing is out of place in this property. All of the furniture and fittings reflect the stylish good taste of its owners....from the amazingly comfortable beds to the sophisticated lighting and the dining table on wheels! Plus, the apartment was spotlessly clean.
All the main attractions, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We especially enjoyed visiting the Cathedral and the Museum of Cinema and had a delightful walk along the city walls. But a word of warning: on the way back to the apartment, be prepared for all the steps..... but they are the perfect excuse to stop and rest at one of the many cafes/bars along the way.
Should we return to Girona we will definitely rent this apartment again.
All you can say about the apartment has already been written by the preceding reviews that I totally confirm!
I never stayed in a better holiday apartment and will definitely rent it again if I come back to Girona. So, don't hesitate to chose this flat!
The apartment in Girona was great.
In a spectacular position, with a beautiful view the apartment was well appointed, perfectly clean and close to all the major sights in town. We were very happy
This apartment did not disappoint. The location, the layout and the amenties were all excellent.
The apartment is located right next to the Cathedral and in the heart of the old city. Restaurants, stores, historical sites, small grocery shops and a bicycle rental place were all within walking distance.
The apartment itself is stunning and looks even better than its pictures. It is located on the second level and there is an elevator to take up your luggage or any other heavy items. The master bedroom has an extremely comfortable king size bed, plenty of closet space and a beautiful masterbath; the two smaller bedrooms each have their own bathroom. The upper level is just as beautiful. The kitchen has everything one needs, and the owners have left items such as spices, salt and pepper etc. The great room has a large flat screen tv, dvd player and surrond sound system. There is also a collection of movies and music. It is a very relaxing room where friends and family could gather. While a car is not necessary if one is staying just in Girona, there is a garage attached that can be rented with the apartment if required.
This is a well maintained, beautifully designed apartment with very nice and helpful owners. I would recommend this place to family and friends.
This apartment gets full marks and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Girona. It exceeds the descriptions given in the website and has everything you would want for a comfortable stay such as a well-stocked kitchen, large TV, sound system, internet, central heating, lift for luggage etc. The design of the apartment is superb and modern while incorporating many elements of the ancient building. The location of the apartment is also very central and convenient. If we come back to Girona we will rent this place.
We were six guys from Gothenburg in Sweden, who went to Girona to play golf. The apartment exceeded our expectations. Everything was better than we thought. Would anyone be alone, there was no problem to go away, there are spaces for all. The kitchen was well equipped, so we eat very good food. Should you ever live in Girona, live in this apartment
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment. The decor was simply stunning, I never thought that stone, concrete & wood could be so comfortable. It is very spacious and has every appliance and comfort you could want. We were traveling with a young baby and it fully catered for our needs. The location of the apartment is just perfect and it is fair to say that it was the highlight of our stay in Girona. The owner was exceedingly helpful prior to our arrival promptly responding to our emails. The agent who greeted us was friendly and gave us all the information we needed. We would happily recommend this property to friends and family and we intend on returning.
This apartment exceeded all our expectations. A delightfully designed, spacious and airy apartment in the medieval heart of Girona. Our party was 5 adults and a toddler. Very child friendly but care needed if child is not stairs aware. Plenty of space for everyone to get a bit of peace and quiet- so often a place that sleeps 6 you are tripping over yourselves - not so here. From the very first moment you are made to feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble even if your flight is delayed. Ideally situated right behind the cathedral, so all walks to the river are downhill. We found the marvellous food market on the south of the river so made good use of the well stocked kitchen. The veranda with its barbeque is wonderful, an airy space to watch the fabulous lightning storms and the world go by after an eventful day exploring the city with its marvellous museums, wonderful architecture, quaint streets and interesting characters. The restaurants readily welcome a sleeping toddler in a buggy, at the table for dinner in the evenings and are very welcoming. Take time to explore all the lanes and you will find some gems.
The Veranda apartment is absolutely exquisite in its design, construction and location. As architects, we were inspired by the opportunity to stay in such a place. The artful detailing of new materials and historic fabric is superb. The apartment has many wonderful amenities - a gourmet kitchen, a fabulous terrace overlooking the square, a lift for luggage, even a classical music collection. The master bedroom and bath are fabulous. The two additional bedrooms, each with their own baths, were perfect for our two teens. The location in the heart of the medieval city of Girona is excellent. Girona has wonderful restaurants, museums, and shopping. If you have a car, be sure to rent the garage too. Day trips to Barcelona and the Costa Brava are quite easy from here. Apartment is even better than described in the listing and a very responsive owner makes renting it easy.
The Apartment is absolutely stunning and situated in the heart of the medieval old town. The conversion has obviously only been fairly recently completed and is of the highest quality as can be seen from the photographs. It is without doubt one of the most interesting and comfotable holiday apartments we have stayed in. Communication with Juan Manuel before we arrived was excellant and his representative in Girona was very helpful. Girona itself is a beautiful city, full of atmosphere, sights to see and very good restaurants. Highly recommended.
We stayed in July 2010, and had a great time. The apartment is beautifully presented throughout. Very modern with polished concrete floors, lovely furniture and great bathrooms. The veranda is fantastic, with a barbeque, and was a great place to sit in the evening. I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. Would definitly like to stay again. The best place I have every rented for a holiday.
Kind regards

It was a very nice stay in this apartment in the medieval centre of Girona situated between the dome and the old university. Everything is very modern and tasteful: the architecture, the furnishing, the bathrooms, the materials steel and wood, the kitchen equipment and all the details. Our Children 18 + 15 enjoyed their rooms with own modern bathrooms for each. Forget most of the hotels!
Arriving by car the apartment is not difficult to find and the garage in the house is suitabe for most types of cars, but a Hummer jeep will be too wide.
Service, contact to the owner, cleaning etc., everything is perfect.
We’ll recommend with pleasure this unique apartement to friends and aquaintances of us.
It was a very nice stay in the apartment. Everything is very modern in a fully redeveloped historic house: the architecture, the furnishing, the bathrooms, the materials steel and wood, the kitchen equipment and all the details. We and our children (18 + 15) enjoyed very much living in the apartment and in the city of Girona. Girona as well is a great place to discover an old city with medieval buildings or take a trip to Dali in Figueres or to the Cap Creus and some beaches of the Costa Brava. A daytrip to Barcelona by train or car is a wonderful thing.
Don't arrive with an "Hummer jeep". But the garage in the house is nevertheless suitable for bigger cars. We recommend with pleasure this apartment to friends and aquaintances of us.
The qualitiy of service etc. is no point of discussion in such an place. Everything is perfect.
Summa summarum:
It was the best apartment we ever had on holidays and we are looking forward to our next stay.
We stayed in the new, smaller apartment. Fantastic quality in a great location. Owner and rep [in adjacent property] very helpful & pleasant. Property is stylish, spacious, well equipped and immaculate and has a nicely maintained small garden. Girona has a superb mediaeval core and the property is in the middle of it. Great restaurants, bars and tourist sites all in minutes walking distance. No direct access by car but there is parking not too far away. We came by bus from the airport - cheap and efficient. The bus/train station is 20 mins walk. You could get a taxi from their to bring you almost to the property.
As seasoned users of self-catering properties, we would say this is as good a property as we have had.
The holiday flat is well situated and has a comfortable size (spacy enough for 6 people). The modern intereur/ the modern design is a highligt. Very positv is the own garage. The flat was very clean and the contact to the owner easy.
We enjoyed our days in the flat and in Girona very well - excellent holiday flat, very recommendable.
My Husband and I have spent a lot of time in Girona over the last Decade. This is by far the nicest apartment we have ever been in. We plan on coming back to the same apartment when we are back in Girona. Recommended for: Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Girona is a beautiful city but staying in this fantastic apartment next to the Cathedral enhanced our holiday enormously. It was immaculate, comfortable and the modern minimalist design of the house is stunning and makes it easy to look after. It is very spacious so that six of us (2 adults, 4 young adults) could be happy with enough bathrooms and seating areas that we all loved it. The facilities are top quality and the kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed the view from the balcony with it's fireplace/ barbecue. The owner is very friendly and helpful from a welcoming bottle of Cava to a farewell breakfast from Maria at her next door restaurant. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property. We enjoyed visiting the coast and Barcelona which is just over an hour by train.
The apartment was very close to the cathedral and looked down onto a beautiful square. It has only recently been finished so everything is very new. It is very modern but completed sympathetically with the old building inwhich it is housed, retaining many original features. It is of an exceptionally high standard and one of the best we have stayed in during our travels around Europe and America. One of the highlights was the veranda where you entered from large glass doors off the kitchen or front room. This was covered and private but got the sun and had a lovely view. The owner has thought of every detail including an internal lift for luggage. He was very helpful even leaving key essentials for our first night.
